4x4
off hiway

thier stuff mentions "as build by manufacturer"

Re: Good Sam Extended Warrenty

I wondered about GS coverage vice a Ford extended warranty, but never researched it further. As for the "as built" I would hope that would be as SMB built it. Otherwise nearly every class B would never truly be covered.

Please let us know what you find out.

Herb
i would assume it is SMB build out
dont know how they will treat the mods I have (and alot of us have modded)

Will see what detail i can get

would hate a pissing match after paying for a year or so

FYI
i had a after market warrentee on my '99 grand cherokee
cost me i think about $800 for two years
(i ground the guy on purchase price, and let him upsell me

PITA to get approvals done, but i got:
new tranny
new manifolds
new radiator and water pump
in dash ac fixed
about $6,000 worth of work

Re: Good Sam Extended Warrenty

I have not made the plunge into the Ford warrantee
World yet but I'm right around the corner.
I would love to see an engine warrantee that is
accepted by Ford. Sorry but dealerships suck.

Re: Good Sam Extended Warrenty

Spoke a couple of times with
Jeff Thorsen
JThorsen@goodsamclub.com

-covers everything as far as i can tell

-spoke to him re: Ford/SMB/Rebuild by Independant
"...they factor all that in, and the independant guy is ok also, as
long as that's what he does for a living..."

full interior systems, AC, heater, water heater, propane, tv, dvd
awnings, seals and gaskets
also "a claim will not be denied because th ereason for the failure
of a covert part (under normal service) is wear and tear"
full drive train inc 4x4 and "ford" interior systems

there is an Exclusion for "off-road" use

i questioned him on that
they aint gonna fix a cliff dive in Moab....

but driving off road to a camping spot IS COVERED

per Jeff, they will put that in the policy/notes

rate lock for 3 years
thats for my rig: $800x3=$2,400

question, what are the chances i will spend at LEAST that
on repair in the next 3 years
probably pretty good

i am thinking a major mechanical breakdown far from home and my trusted
mechanic COULD cost an arm and let

gonna scan in the info and attach

Be good to see a Quote from an Newer rig and a diesal
